u17 Boys Open Season With a Win

Our u17 Boys Soccer team got their season off to a great win in the first round of the Leinster Cup. This was the first Soccer game of the season for any of our teams, and it was wonderful to have him support from fellow students to cheer the lads on.

The game was a tight affair through the first half a Conor Wood goal put the JSS boys 1-0 up but Greenhils soon leveled with the score 1-1 at halftime. The game burst to life in the second half with a Conor Wood second and a late Lucas Tyner goal coming directly from an Oscar Lenehan kick out, resulting in the game finishing 3-3 and going to extra time.

The lads kicked on in extra time, and a superb Emre Ucar finish from outside the box gave the boys the lead. Lucas Tyner got his second and wrapped up the win after some quick thinking and excellent execution from Luke Flavin.
