For those of you who had the opportunity to see the world debut of The Stolen Child last weekend you know that it truly was a feast for the senses. The staging, the costumes, the lighting, the singing, the dancing and the acting were all of such a high standard. The cast ranged in age from 4 – 18. We had the added treat of having players from the National Youth Ballet join the John Scottus actors on stage. Students from 1st to 6th year and the 6th class boys and girls participated in the show. The John Scottus Saturday morning Harlequins Drama group even took part.
Based on a poem by WB Yeats, with music written by our own Fran Dempsey it surely was an occasion not to be missed.
