The beginning of the new academic year in John Scottus brings the start of a new year of sports for all students.
TY girls doing their pre-volleyball course exam today. The girls will be learning how to coach volleyball and teaching it to the JS primary school.
On Tuesday April 5th the John Scottus Ultimate Frisbee team traveled to Loughlinstown Leisure Centre to compete in the Dublin Ultimate Frisbee League finals.
The girls Ultimate Frisbee team recently travelled up to Beaumont to take part in an Ultimate Frisbee Blitz.
The girls Junior hockey team have been training every Wednesday since the start of term and are competing in the Leinster Schoolgirls Hockey League.
We were blessed with perfect weather conditions for both sports days which enabled all the excellent planning and organising done by Mr Gibney and Mr Sheils to be enjoyed by all.
Congrats to Tess Tangney and Kate Ryan who were selected for the Irish Under 20 Ultimate Frisbee team.
It has been an extremely successful and exciting month of sport for JSS.

March has seen the 1st year boys undertake swimming lessons while the 1st year girls were taught Salsa in Energie Fitness.
The Herbert Mile Challenge was a great school community building event. All students in the school ran for a mile around Herbert park on Tuesday, Jan 13th.
