The Transition Year students have done an excellent job at preparing for their ECO-DEN awards and three of the groups got through to the final.
This week our school community held a litter awareness week and participated in An Taisce’s National Spring Clean week.
Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations and activities began in earnest in the week beginning Monday 12th March and has continued on after St Patrick’s weekend due to snow.
A group of our 5th years went to Townley Hall as part of our Philosophy week to discover more about the meaning of “Darkness to Light”.
Our philosophy week took place on March 5th with the theme “From Darkness to Light”.
Fourth class made Colourful Creepy Crawlies. We used card, wire and paper to make the constructions.
Senior Infants were planting in the classroom this week.
This year, 5th class are taking part in a Junior Entrepreneur Programme which is about making a class business.
All this week in school all classes have been planting potatoes.
Our ukulele club is in full swing on Fridays in Afterschool.
First Class Red have been participating in the Junior Achievement Programme with a volunteer from Pfizer.
