Our Transition Year students participated in the Model Council of the European Union debate on Thursday Feb 27th in Dublin Castle. The annual debate is a simulation of a meeting of the Council of European Union. Each EU member state is represented by a team of students from a secondary school. Our team of Transition Year students were proud to represent Portugal and participate in the debate. The motion for discussion: should the EU increase its target for carbon emissions to 50%? The debate was chaired by MEP Barry Andrews.
