For our CSPE action project our 2nd year class put on a mock trial on Monday the 1st of February
During the trial we learned about the law, the different roles in the courtroom and what the procedure is for a real trial. There were many different roles involved in the trial. There were barristers, members of the public, witnesses, a defendant, a clerk, a judge and a jury.
I was a defence barrister. My role was to prove to the jury that the defendant was innocent.
I think that the project gave me a better understanding of the law. In my opinion the mock trial went very well. Every student in 2nd year got to participate. Thank you to Ms. Reynolds for organising it.
