The class of 2016 worked extremely hard and achieved excellent results in their Leaving Certificate exams. Well done to all students and teachers who worked hard to achieve these excellent results.
Some of the highlights include
- Higher Level Maths: 46% of students got an A1. (5/11)
- Higher Level Physics: 50% of students got an A1. (3/6 students)
- Higher Level Art and Music: 100% of students got either an A or B. (8 students)
In addition:
- 27 % of students got more than 500 points, with two students getting 595 points.
- 55 % of students got more than 400 points.
- 82 % of students got more than 350 points
A particular mention must be made of Tess Tangney (5 A1s) and Aisling Gannon (4 A1s), who both got 595 points.
Leaving Certificate Destinations
Most students managed to get their first choice preference. All students progressed onto third level colleges, 90 % moving onto degree level 8 courses. In more the detail the breakdown was as follows:
- 77 % : Level 8 Universities –(17/22 students)
- 90 %: Level 8 All Colleges –(19/22 students)
- 100 %: Third Level College –(22/22 students)
