Mr Sheils received news last week that John Scottus Primary School have been awarded the Plaque of STEM Excellence this year, for the 4th year in a row!
A representative from Primary Science had this to say:
Congratulations – all your hard work has paid off! John Scottus National School has achieved a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for the 2017/18 academic year.
It is fantastic to see all of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths work being carried out in schools with such enthusiasm. Thank you for your efforts and we hope that you, your colleagues and the children enjoyed taking part in the Awards programme this year.
Well done to all the children for their hard work, the teachers for facilitating their STEM journey and Mr Sheils for championing STEM in our school.
