We are thrilled to announce that we have received our third green flag since we moved to Old Conna! This latest award was granted for our efforts in energy conservation, a significant step towards a more sustainable future. Our previous awards were for Litter, Waste, and Water conservation. Each flag takes two years to achieve. Our committee, which consists of students from all year groups, worked diligently to reduce energy consumption and raise awareness in the school.
We are fortunate to have an environmental scientist within our school community. We must thank Dr. Cara Augustenborg, a parent, who delivered a very engaging presentation to students and staff on the causes, effects, and solutions to climate change during Green Week 2024. I will take this opportunity to congratulate Ms McGoldrick and the Green School team for raising awareness of energy conservation.
