TY November Update
Now that we are enjoying the Halloween holiday here is a flavour of some of the activities that have taken place in the classroom and beyond in the first weeks of TY.

The first book club meeting took place on Friday, 6th of November, during lunch time. The book reviewed was ‘Trash’ by Andy Mulligan.
Ms Cronin, Mr Flynn and Mr Brady lead the school through Maths Week (Oct 19th -23rd). Here are some of the highlights.
The girls Junior hockey team have been training every Wednesday since the start of term and are competing in the Leinster Schoolgirls Hockey League.
The 5th and 6h Year Classics students went to see a production of Sophocles’ play Oedipus in the Abbey Theatre with Mrs Waters and Mr O’Connor.
Third year students visited Dublin Zoo Education Centre on Wednesday 16th September 2015.
The John Scottus TY students prepared a delicious lunch in aid of the Jharkali Education project on Friday Oct 16th.
On Thursday September 24th, the whole school travelled to Larch Hill scouting centre in celebration of Founder’s Day.
On Oct 3rd at the Collins Barracks, there was two projects from John Scottus presenting at the Creative Engagement Exhibition.
