Our Transition Year students participated in a one-off workshop run by Michelle Harding from the School of Life, which focused on etiquette and social skills in the workplace and ironing.
For the last five weeks, transition year students have participated in a two-hour weekly lesson teaching them self-defence.
This year’s Science Week was celebrated from Nov 13 to Nov 15 in John Scottus School.
November and December have been very busy for both our boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. Our u17 and u15 boys played the group games of their league throughout the month.
The cross-country season continued this week with a 1500m individual event at Avondale Park, Wicklow. With over 400 participants and 20+ schools in attendance.
Our u17 Boys Soccer team got their season off to a great win in the first round of the Leinster Cup. This was the first Soccer game of the season for any of our teams, and it was wonderful to have him.
Our Transition Year students had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a recent golf workshop hosted at the nearby golf club.
Out Friday trips have also begun, including a hike up Djouce, Scarr, and Crone Woods.
Twenty-two students from TY will be going to Nepal at the end of next May for three weeks to trek to the Annapurna base camp and carry out some project work at a local school.
The Transition Year students have had a busy but exciting start to the school year.
