We are very proud of our 4th class children here at John Scottus Primary School who have taken part in a competition to promote the Safe Cross Code and build awareness of road safety.
The Junior Infant children have been busy learning about the wonders of the life cycle of a butterfly.
On Friday the 22nd of April all the children and teachers went out into our community for National Spring Clean Day.
For the last few weeks the children have been busy creating posters to increase awareness for recycling.
The boys and girls in 2nd class were recorded by Century Ireland delivering the original proclamation.
On the 15th of March every school in Ireland celebrated Proclamation Day (Flag Day) in memory of the 1916 Easter Rising.
As part of the 1916 Centenary programme many schools around Ireland were asked to write a new proclamation looking into the future.
4th Class Boys together with Mr Callaghan have produced a wonderful rap video in memory of 1916.
DD-television –a national Broadcasting station for India- asked John Scottus Primary School to perform a famous poem by Adi Shankara with Western Music.
Irish week got off to a great start this week.
