The cross-country season continued this week with a 1500m individual event at Avondale Park, Wicklow. With over 400 participants and 20+ schools in attendance.
John Scottus was represented by 20 students ranging from 1st to 4th year. All who took part in the 1500m event gave great performances, with determination and stamina.
Anna Kelly(1st year) won a bronze medal in a field of 50+ first-year girls. Oisin Donelon (2nd year) won a silver medal in a very competitive 2nd year boys group, and Iona McCool Murnane (4th year) won a bronze medal in an equally tough group, which included 4th/5th/6th year boys and girls. Other very impressive performances came from Lunasa Fox, Sophia Reid, Lucas Tyler, Aldus Brabazon, Kai Tandy, Luke Flavin, and William Gelvin.
