On Friday the 10th of March the JSS Junior Boys and Senior Girls teams travelled to Mercy College Beaumont to compete against two girls teams from Beaumont and and two boys teams from Hartstown.
The JSS girls began the day with a very difficult fixture against Hartstown Senior Boys team. As expected the Hartstown boys were very strong and made great use of their height advantage to come out winners. After a tough opening game the girls bounced back to win their two remaining games comfortably 7-2 and 6-2 against the two Mercy Beaumont teams that were participating on the day.
The JSS boys started the day well coming out 6-3 winners against the Beaumont girls. However next up for our boys was Hartstown Seniors. The game was a very tight affair to begin with, both teams locked at two scores a piece. However in the end the Hartstown boys size and experience paid off as they ran out 8-3 winners. The JSS boys final match of the day was a much more even contest between the Hartstown Junior boys. In a very exciting match the Hartstown boys pulled away late on to win the game 6-3.
All in all an enjoyable days Frisbee for all the players and a little bit more experience got before the All-Ireland’s at the end of the year.
