Second class were busy using their higher order thinking skills in maths this week. We were challenged how to measure crooked lines in the yard. Could we use a metre stick? Could we use a decimetre or a known benchmark to estimate the length of the lines?
We worked collaboratively to solve the problem of the magic plant. We shared our methods on how to the steps we used to solve the problem, including Mr Sheils.
Finally we had a tasty end in measuring the stretchiness of our gummy worms! Yum!
